Yule Ornaments - Animal Collection

Yule Ornaments - Animal Collection

from $9.00

Yule - also called Jul or Jól - is a festival celebrating the Winter Solstice and the return of the sun in the form of lengthening daylight hours. Yule was celebrated in Northern Europe for hundreds of years before the arrival of Christianity, and is still celebrated today in a variety of ways and forms. (The holiday of Christmas as we know it now began as a Christianized form of Yule celebration.)

These six ornaments feature a variety of animals and symbols associated with Northern Europe and/or the Yule festival. The designs are burned into Maple hardwood, cut into ornament shape, then suspended from a green satin ribbon.

Each ornament reflects the magic of the Yule season and can be purchased individually, or as part of a six piece set which includes a discount.
