Weather Related Shipping Delays

Hello friends! Today is Friday, 06 January 2023. Just a quick note to update you all and let you know that I might be a bit delayed in processing orders for the next week or so. Northern California is currently experiencing a series of winter storms that have caused widespread flooding and power outages, which makes the shipping and delivery of packages unreliable for the short term.

Digital delivery of orders like Elder Futhark Rune Readings could also be delayed because my geographic area frequently loses both electricity and internet connectivity during storms; it’s not uncommon for trees to fall and take down power/internet lines. (We only just got power back from Wednesday’s storm related outage, and I expect we will lose power again during tomorrow’s storm.)

And finally, my community along the lower Russian River is projected to experience flooding over the weekend as the river swells from greater-than-average rain runoff, so we don’t yet know if we will be flooded in and cut off from traveling to nearby towns and cities.

We have plenty of food and water, and our fireplace provides our household heat, so my little family is as warm, safe and dry as we can be - which is all that truly matters. I deeply appreciate your patience as I work to fulfill and deliver orders as quickly and as safely as I can. Current flood projection(s) for the lower Russian River valley. Our house is above the flood plain, but we cannot travel in or out of the area when the roads flood, which means services like USPS and UPS cannot either - making shipping and delivery of packages difficult.
